Google is a massive online company.  They have so many free products for you to use in so many different realms.  From Google Documents, to Google Maps, and more, a lot of personal information is collected by this giant.  What does Google do to keep your information safe?  For starters, they have a privacy FAQ. Lets just focus on the search engine part of their company for this section of our site.

When you search for something with Google search, they store your IP address of your computer on their servers along with what you searched. This information is held with your IP attached to it for nine months. After the nine month period, your IP address is then made anonymous.

If you are unsure of what an IP address is you can read more on that and what it tells about you by reading our IP address article.
